1 Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Finent ("the Service"), you confirm that you are at least 13 years of age and that you accept these Terms and Conditions in full. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, you must not use the Service.

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes are published constitutes your acceptance of the revised terms.

2 Description of Service

Finent is a personal budgeting tool that helps you track income, expenses, and utilities. The Service is provided "as is" and is intended for personal use.

Finent offers a free plan and a paid subscription. The free plan has no time limit. Some features require a paid subscription — see Pricing and section 4 below.

3 Account Responsibilities

When you register for an account you agree to:

• Provide accurate and current information
• Keep your password confidential and not share it with others
• Notify us immediately via our contact page if you suspect unauthorised access to your account
• Take responsibility for all activity that occurs under your account

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or are used in a manner that is abusive, fraudulent, or harmful to other users.

4 Subscriptions and Billing

Finent offers an optional paid subscription. The features included in each plan, and the current prices, are listed on the Pricing page.

Payment

Payments are processed by Stripe, Inc. You enter your card details on Stripe's hosted checkout page; Finent never receives or stores them. By subscribing you also agree to Stripe's terms as our payment processor. All prices are in US dollars and exclude any taxes that may apply in your jurisdiction.

Free trial

Plus may be offered with a 14-day free trial. You enter a payment method to start it, but you are not charged during the trial. If you don't cancel before the trial ends, it converts automatically to a paid subscription and your payment method is charged for the plan you chose. You can cancel any time before the trial ends from Account → Billing and you won't be charged. The free trial is limited to one per account.

Automatic renewal

Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period — monthly or yearly, depending on the plan you chose — and your saved payment method is charged the then-current price for that plan. Renewal continues until you cancel.

Promotional offers

We may from time to time offer promotional codes or limited-time discounts. Each is subject to its own terms and expiry, may be limited or withdrawn at any time, and unless stated otherwise applies only to the first billing period — renewals are charged at the standard price.

Cancellation

You may cancel at any time from Account → Billing, which opens the Stripe billing portal. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the period you have already paid for: you keep access to paid features until that date, and you are not charged again. Cancelling a subscription does not delete your account or your data — your budget remains available on the free plan.

Refunds

Payments are non-refundable except where required by law, and we do not provide partial refunds for unused time in a billing period. If something has gone wrong — you were charged in error, or the Service was not usable — contact us and we will make it right.

Price and plan changes

We may change prices or what a plan includes. We will give you notice by email before a change affects an existing subscription, and any new price applies from your next renewal — never mid-period — so you can cancel first if you do not agree to it.

Failed payments

If a renewal payment fails, we will show a notice in the app and Stripe will retry for a short period. If payment still cannot be taken, the subscription ends and your account reverts to the free plan. Your data is not deleted.

5 Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the Service to:

• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the Service or its infrastructure
• Transmit any malware, viruses, or other malicious code
• Scrape, crawl, or systematically download data from the Service
• Use automated tools to interact with the Service in a way that impairs its performance
• Circumvent any rate-limiting or security mechanisms
• Violate any applicable local, national, or international law or regulation

6 Intellectual Property

You retain full ownership of all financial data you enter into the Service. We do not claim any rights over your personal budgeting data.

7 Privacy

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy and Data Retention Policy, which are incorporated into these Terms and Conditions by reference.

8 Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.

We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses or other harmful components. We make no guarantees regarding the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of any information displayed within the Service.

9 Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Finent and its contributors shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the Service — even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

Our total liability to you for any claim arising from use of the Service shall not exceed the total fees, if any, paid by you to Finent in the twelve months preceding the claim.

10 Termination

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time via Account Settings → Delete Account. Upon deletion, your personal data is removed in accordance with our Data Retention Policy.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms or is harmful to other users, us, or third parties.

11 Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with applicable law. Any disputes arising under these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the applicable territory.
